How to start - the long tail cast on

To start you need to get stitches onto one of the needles, I used 60 stitches for the scarf. a simple pattern

For the scarf I used a simple pattern: For the very first stitch I used a purl, for the rest I did one row of purls and for the next row knits.

adding tassels
